Mansurah is said to be very close to her mother, the actress who hardly does anything without consulting her mother is extremely disciplined. The pretty actress, who has a lot of appeal and charm, is still single,’ I am still single but I am going to step into matrimony very soon, I am just waiting for my spouse to finish his marriage plans’, she narrated. Growing up has always been fun for the actress, gradually though, Mansurah came to understand her values as a girl at home, and self worth doesn’t come with naughtiness, and that freedom will always be an essential component to human freedom, and she appreciated all that as parallel to the principles of countless generations and a good example to the priorities of an ideal muslim girl, which gave birth to her Islamic morals.

Film Biography: By her definition, Mansurah Isah is first a proprietress, second a student and thirdly a girl with a decent upbringing. These three facets are all carried off with intensity, fierceness, grace and good humour. As a teenager, Mansurah developed interest in acting but never toyed with the idea of joining the industry, she saw the Hausa movie industry from a mountain top, until Awwalu Danlarabawa; a family invited her to welfare for his film ‘Barima’, which she accepted. On the sets of ‘Barima’, Mansurah proved how much a good girl she is, and Aminu ‘kwai a baka’ tabled an acting proposal to her, which she gladly rejected considering her family stands on acting. But as fate will have it, with every scene shot Mansurah’s interest in acting escalated until the last scene; where Sadiya Gyale in her died, Sadiya did an superb dying face in the scene and there and then Mansurah became inspired by the scene, on the spot Mansurah decided she is going to be an actress too.

Mansurah went home extremely delighted with what she saw, and she spoke to an aunt who persuaded Awwalu Danlarabawa to give her a trial. Awwalu introduced her to Rabi’u Ibrahim (CEO HRB Company) who appointed her as a secretary/editor because of her computer literacy. Mansurah worked as an editor at the same time nursed the dream of acting on the screen, her break through came when Rabi’u Ibrahim decided to give her a trail song, she sang alongside Sani Danja in Biki Budiri. Her superb dancing performance made a lot of eyes stared and dazzled her boss. The beautiful, slim, svelte and charming actress captivated a lot viewer’s heart with her dancing abilities in the film. Rabi’u Ibrahim gave her another chance to prove herself in Suhairat, another hit movie. Her excellent performance in the film catapulted her to limelight all of a sudden, making the movie a chart buster. Looks, Dancing skills and natural acting capabilities, what else would Hausa cinema ask for. In no time Mansurah became a top class actress and a genius, proving her acting talents over and over again in Fidirah, a film she acted alongside Baballe Hayatu. Mansurah performance in the film was definitely given an appreciation it deserves. She brought a rare acting style to the industry, a style that is decorated with elegance and class. She was lovely on the screen, and she became a glorification to Hausa cinema and a reference for newer girls.

The power house actress’s talent was once again felt in another film, Sa-in-sa, a hit movie she acted alongside the industry’s superstar; Sani Musa Danja. Mansurah is one of the most natural actresses in the industry; not forgetting the tremendous input she applies to enact the roles she is given. She attributes her acting capabilities and skills to her genetic influence as well as her personal effort. One could definitely see the sheer hardwork and dedication towards the art behind all of her roles, Mansurah is outstanding when it comes to acting she delivers out the best even without the usual make-up that is part of the glamour, and she is not so much interested in celebrity stuff because she treats acting purely as a profession that she doesn’t believe in star games, even if she is considered the second best in the industry.

Mansurah got the entire role on the merit of her performance and she never had to go asking for the roles or lap up the offers which come her way. She feels motivated when given challenging roles but never accept the ones which she already assayed before. Its not that she expects the roles or the scripts be specially written for her or waits to take up the extraordinary and unusual woman oriented roles but she enacts the roles when different from the ones she did and take it as a challenge to move out the persona and live the roles. Off the screen, Mansurah is so friendly and makes the atmosphere so light and joyous with her hearty laughs and charming attitude that wherever she is, it’s a delightful sight to watch. And that’s the reason behind her having cordial relations with all the people in the industry and bears every report with her co-artistes and directors.

As an actress, her credits include more than 200 films and an award nomination; Best becoming actress in Jari-Hujja in the year 2006; Guda, Fil’azal, Iso, Haula, Daham, Hawainiya, Tashi, Darajar kwarya, Makida, Zilhari, Samira, Sama, Kamani, Jarumai 2, Manyan Yara, Bariki, Tutar so, Gwarjini, Isarwa, Taron Dangi, Bakar Ashana, Tauraruwa, Masoya, Hidima, and some films she produced on her own such as Jarumata and Sakna. The star actress have acted with all the stars in the Hausa movie industry but regards Sani Musa Danja as the best actor she had ever acted with, ‘Sani Danja is unarguably the best actor, Wasila Isah is the best actress and Yakubu Muhammad is undeniably the best director in the Hausa Movie industry’, she complimented.

Mansurah Isah is a multi-faceted paradox and has a versatility to act in variety of roles from an innocent naïve school girl in Samira to a rude and impatient housewife in Bakar Ashana. This is the central point of her personality of simplicity and charm.
